Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting of the Voting Members of the Silver Springs Community Association (“SSCA”) will be held as follows:

Purpose of the Meeting
The purpose of this Special General Meeting is to consider and vote on a Special Resolution authorizing the SSCA Board of Directors to enter into a loan agreement with the Calgary Foundation to support the planned SSCA building expansion project.
Following extensive review and discussion, the Board of Directors has considered the Association’s historical financial performance, future financial projections, anticipated pool and casino revenues, the Association’s history of financial management and the risks and benefits associated with the proposed expansion. Based on this review, the Board has determined that proceeding with the project is in the best interests of the Association and is seeking member approval to proceed with financing.
Proposed Loan Terms
- Lender: Calgary Foundation
- Principal Amount: $700,000
- Interest Rate: 7.75%
- Term: Up to 10 years
- Purpose: Financing the SSCA Building Expansion Project
Special Resolution
BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The members of the Silver Springs Community Association authorize the Board of Directors to enter into a loan agreement with the Calgary Foundation in the principal amount of $700,000, at an interest rate of 7.75%, for a term of up to 10 years, for the purpose of financing the Silver Springs Community Association Building Expansion Project, and authorize the Board of Directors to execute all agreements and documents necessary to complete the financing.
Additional Information
Supporting financial information, including project costs, financing details, and financial projections, will be made available to members prior to the meeting.
In accordance with the SSCA Bylaws and the Alberta Societies Act, this meeting has been called for the purpose of considering the Special Resolution set out above. No other business will be conducted at this meeting.
Only Voting Members in good standing as of the date of the meeting shall be entitled to vote.
