Active Seniors Group

Silver Springs has a wonderful and growing group of seniors (55+)! This active group has organized games afternoons, e-bike tours, luncheons, karaoke, dancing in the dark, various tours and more!

SSCA Senior’s E-Bike/Bike Group

The SSCA Seniors e-bike/bike group will start up again this summer. If you are not on the group list or want to confirm with me that you are, please email karenk@silverspringscommunity.ca.

Active Seniors Pool Party | Sat, July 19 10:45-11:45am

We will be swimming from 10:45 – 11:45, with a pizza party to follow at the pump track.  $10 per person includes swimming and pizza. Maximum 40 registrants, with a waitlist. We still have some spots left!

Monthly Update

May 26– Second bike ride. Bow Valley Parkway- 18 riders, 3 on regular bikes. 50 km. 9 of us went for a cold beverage on Banff Avenue after. 

June 16– Third bike ride- 12 riders, 1 dog, through Arbour Lake, Rocky Ridge, Royal Oak, and Tuscany. 31 km’s. We stopped at “The Last Straw” (pub in Tuscany), sat out on the patio and enjoyed food, beverages, socialization and then headed home. A couple new riders. Welcome!!! It was a beautiful day, full of sun and laughs. So much fun!

June 17- Presentation on “Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing – 4 key components – Social, Spiritual, Emotional and Cognitive. Presented by Catherine Dobler with the support of Service Canada and Community Transcultural Support Services (CTSS). 14 people attended followed by a discussion on how to stay connected for your health and wellbeing.

June 23 – 24 golfers enjoyed a great afternoon of golf in Cochrane. A few non golfers played pickleball at the new outdoor courts adjacent to the Cochrane Recreation Centre. A few others did some serious shopping at the cute local shops in Cochrane and then over 30 of us met up at Ducks on a Roof for beverages, food and socialization. A great afternoon!!! Something for everyone!!!!
