Position: Lifeguard with Swim Instructor Certification (Seasonal – Summer 2025)

Location: Silver Springs Outdoor Pool
Term: June 9, 2025 – September 1, 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm

Who We’re Looking For:

• Enthusiastic individuals who love the water and bring energy to every class
• People who enjoy teaching and interacting with children in a positive, supportive environment
• Team players with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Individuals who are reliable, responsible, and passionate about water safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Continual monitoring of pool activities to prevent accidents while maintaining a pleasant and hazard-free environment for adults and children
• Conduct and develop swim programs and lesson plans for participants of all levels
• Evaluate students’ swimming abilities and track progress, accomplishments, and attendance
• Enforce pool regulations and educate patrons on safe practices and procedures
• Perform lifesaving interventions, resuscitation, and first aid when necessary
• Complete administrative tasks including cashier duties and admitting the public to the facility, handling admission fees
• Conduct maintenance duties such as cleaning locker rooms, washrooms, pool areas, and surrounding facility grounds as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid certifications required (must be current or within expiry):
  • Swim for Life Instructor Certification (LSI)
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C
  • National Lifeguard Certification
• Previous experience as a swim instructor or working with children is an asset
• Ability to commit to the full duration of the program: June 9 2025 – September 1, 2025
