A full-body workout using a simple interval format. No choreography required.

About our fitness classes

Build total body strength with a simple, effective Strength & Core workout.

It combines upper and lower body lifting, timed intervals, and core-focused movements. You control the intensity by choosing your weight and reps. Short cardio bursts elevate your heart rate — no choreography, just straightforward movements.

Strength & Core

All fitness levels • drop-in

A supportive, low-impact workout designed to enhance strength, mobility, and balance with no mat or floor work required. 

Using body weight with a variety of equipment such as light weights, bands, and bender balls, this class offers engaging routines each week to keep you moving and motivated. Ideal for older adults, beginners, or those returning to fitness.

Sit, Stand & Strengthen

Older adults • Beginners • drop-in

An active fitness class for those who want to keep moving with choreographed cardio patterns followed by free weights and mat work. Designed to promote muscle awareness and improve muscle tone. Balance exercises are a must.

The choreography is alternated with interval workouts to keep the routine fresh every week.

Proactive Adult

A gentle, accessible class focused on stretching, breathing, balance, and relaxation. No matter your flexibility or experience level, this class encourages you to move at your own pace, build strength, and support overall well-being.

Seniors Yoga

Join this fun, energizing workout suitable for all ages and fitness levels. 

The class combines a full-body warm-up, easy-to-follow low-intensity aerobics, a bit of Salsa, Cha-Chas, and even some Disco steps to a variety of upbeat music; some current songs and some oldies. During the last half hour of the class, you will learn some fun, easy-to-follow two- and four-wall line dances.

Gentle Dance Fit

Total Body Circuit is a dynamic, station-based workout that moves through a series of exercises targeting your arms, legs, core, and more — using a mix of equipment and bodyweight movements. Between strength stations, simple cardio intervals keep your heart rate up without complicated choreography.

The class wraps up with deep stretches for flexibility and recovery.

Total Body Circuit

A straightforward full-body workout built around a simple 3-2-1 interval format — three minutes of strength, two minutes of low-impact cardio, and one minute of core. Functional movements with options always provided, making it accessible for every fitness level.

No choreography required; just show up and move.

Where Silver Springs Seniors belong

Silver Springs Seniors programs go well beyond fitness — from social groups, bridge, and Mah Jong to luncheons, e-bike tours, karaoke, and community events. There's always something going on for 55+ at SSCA.

Classes resume in fall

Drop in any Monday through Thursday — registration not required for the majority of our programs.
