Shannon Dagg, Dance Program Coordinator
Shannon Dagg is a 20 year-old dancer, instructor, and choreographer from Victoria, British Columbia. She moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2020 in pursuit of her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and pedagogy. She is set to obtain this degree in the Spring of 2024. Shannon dreams of becoming a household name in the choreography world, and sees herself in many roles including the likes of working onboard a cruise ship as an entertainer, teaching masterclasses, and even creating choreography for broadway musicals.
Shannon teaches and choreographs part-time as she continues her studies at the University of Calgary. During her time at the institution she has had four dance related jobs ranging from studio work, to event coordinating for View Dance Challenge on their Spring 2022 tours in Edmonton and Winnipeg. Additionally, Shannon has received seven scholarships and bursaries from the university in recognition of her academic and artistic accolades.
Fun fact – Shannon’s hobbies of sewing and fashion have also come in very handy in the dance industry, as she has worked for the University of Calgary theatre costume construction team and has since designed and sewed multiple costumes for dancers.

Abigail Dunn, Instructor
Abigail Dunn is a dance artist, choreographer and teacher. She started dancing at a young age and decided to pursue dance as a career at the age of 18. She started her BFA in Dance Choreography and Performance at the University of Calgary in 2019 and is currently in the process of completing her degree. While busy completing her degree, she is also passionate about actively participating in the Calgary dance community as a dancer and choreographer. She has been a dance instructor for many years, teaching dancers of all ages. As a teacher she is passionate about helping dancers become confident and creative.

Ryan, Instructor
Ryan is an experienced street style dancer with over 10 years of training performance, freestyle, and choreography techniques.
After learning from the pioneers of this dance, moving forward with teaching and creating he intends to pay respects to the creators of this dance by prioritizing the foundations & sharing his knowledge of freestyle with the next generation.
Dance Foundation provides kids a fun and non-stressful atmosphere where they can learn to love dance. We encourage students to grow as dancers while meeting new friends, gaining coordination and learning self- discipline. Dancers will learn to express themselves creatively and gain better coordination. As a non-profit program run through the Silver Springs Community Association, we are able to keep our class sizes small and prices low. Throughout the years we will give the dancers the basics they need to know in order to continue dancing and performing in the future. We love to dance and hope you will too.
