Registration

Silver Springs Preschool welcomes children with PUF (Program Unit Funding). Please note however, that our policies provide for a maximum of 2 PUF children per class. When you register, please indicate in the comments section that your child is PUF funded. They will be registered in the order received. When the maximum has been reached in a class, no other PUF students will be accepted. Your child will not qualify for a spot at Silver Springs Preschool if you fail to disclose PUF funding at the time of registration and the maximum has been reached by registrants who have been forthcoming with this information.

Eligibility Requirements

3-year-old Program: Tuesdays & Thursdays

Children whose 3rd birthday falls on or before December 31, of the same school year in which they will commence classes will be eligible for enrollment in the 3 yr old program. Children must be toilet trained.

4-year-old Program: Monday/Wednesday/Friday

Registrants must be 4 years old by December 31st, of the same school year in which they will commence classes will be eligible for enrollment in the 4 yr old program. Children must be toilet trained.

4-year-old All-Day Program: Monday/Wednesday/Friday

Registrants must be 4 years old by December 31st, of the same school year in which they will commence classes will be eligible for enrollment in the 4 yr old program. Children must be toilet trained.​ 

Silver Springs Preschool is a community-based parent cooperative program. Although parents are not obliged to volunteer in the classroom, we require that the parent of each child registered in the program sign up for one volunteer duty. Please see Policies for a list of our volunteer duties.

The registration fee and SSCA Community Association Fee are non-refundable.

2022/2023 Registration Dates  

   Important registration information: For anyone registering into the Backpack, Alumni or Silver Springs Pre Registration you are required to have a current 2021-2022 community membership and a 2022-2023 membership in place before you can start the registration process.

January 11, 2022 – Backpack Registration – for families that are currently enrolled in the program. Information will be emailed home.

January 13, 2022 – Alumni Registration – if you have had a child attend our school in the past 5 years and would like to register for the school year, please email ssps@shaw.ca to make sure you are on the list.

January 17, 2022 – Pre Registration – for families who are current residents of Silver Springs. Proof of residency will be required.

January 20, 2022 – Open Registration – for all families who do not fall under any of the above categories.

2021-2022: 3-year-old Program ( morning classes run 9am – 11am, 9:15 – 11:15am and afternoon class runs 1:15 – 3:15pm)

  • Non-refundable registration fee: $100.00
  • 2022-2023 Monthly tuition: $82.40 (subsidy applied)

2021-2022: 4-year-old Program (morning class runs 9 – 11:30am and afternoon class runs 12:45 – 3:15pm)

  • Non-refundable registration fee: $100.00
  • 2022-2023 Monthly tuition: $133.90 (subsidy applied)

2021-2022: 4-year-old All Day Program ( class runs 9:10 – 3:25pm)

  • Non-refundable registration fee: $100.00
  • 2022-2023 Monthly tuition: $401.70 (subsidy applied)

All registrants must have a membership with the Silver Springs Community Association. For residents, the membership cost is $25.00. Non residents may purchase an associate membership for $35.00.

All registrants will be charged a $30  school supply fee with their initial tuition payment.

Payment Schedule:

A PAD, pre-authorized debit, form is required to debit your account for the monthly tuition.

If you register before June 1st– the first withdrawal will be on June 1st. 

If you register after June 1st – the first withdrawal will be on the first day of the following consecutive month of registration. This will be your prepayment for the year’s tuition, remaining monthly payments will be withdrawn on the first of each month from September to May.

If you register after September 1st – the first withdrawal will be on the first day of the next month.  This will be your prepayment for the June tuition. The second payment will also be on the first day of the following consecutive month of registration through to May 1st.
