SUMMARY:New Garden Box Replacement - Volunteers Needed!
DESCRIPTION:New Garden Boxes at the Edible Gardens \nThe garden has been abuzz with activity. We are replacing 8 large garden boxes and 6 small garden boxes. The boxes were constructed by carpentry students at SAIT and have been transported to EGG for final assembly to take place. We received the Neighbourhood grant from the Calgary Foundation to cover the cost of materials. \nThe old boxes will be need to be demolished\, the soil excavated\, and new boxes put in place before the soil is replaced. \nThis project is scheduled to be completed May 4th and 5th and we need your help!

DESCRIPTION:SSCA Clean the Community Event\nSaturday May 11th  10am – 12pm \nAnnual Litter Clean Up Event: Help make the parks and green spaces we love\, litter free! Spend time with your friends and neighbours. \nAll Ages event!  Pizza and pop will be provided after the event for volunteers. \nSign up early to get the area of your choice! \n \nEmail:events@silverspringscommunity.ca with any questions. \n*** Not to be confused with the Community Clean-Up event *** \nSaturday May 11th the Silver Springs Community Association is organizing a litter clean up from 10 to 12pm. This will be a great opportunity to make the places we love garbage free and to get to know more neighbours. Snacks and refreshments will be provided after the event. \nWe will be picking up litter within the community but also in nearby Bowmont Park which we all enjoy! We have divided the community in 8 different sections (see map). Note that each group will be meeting at different locations as shown below.  Make sure you show up at the right place!
